This…this is me. And this is how I smile. I have braces so it makes me nervous to smile. I may smile normally once my teeth are straight with braces, but for the time being they are not. Sad story, I know.
Pretty hilarious way to announce a new album. Kudos, A Day To Remember. I would never expect any other band to do something like this. Also props to them for keeping straight faces during this! I wonder how many takes they had to do.
There’s something about this awkward smile that makes this picture great! I did ‘shop this a little bit, however. A few simple effects and changing of the saturation a tid bit. All in all, I like the shot. It wasn’t planned, really. I just told her to stop moving for a second. BAM! Then I popped 4-5 pictures in the Canon Rebel T2i (I think).

Well, today I signed out a Canon Rebel T2i from my school and took some pictures for my Digital Photography class. Some pictures turned out well, and others not. But my favourite picture of the day goes to Erin, the daughter of Kat and Rachelle who live a few houses down from me. She’s tough to get standing still, but when you do, she gives you a great pose! Well, it’s happened again. You’re reading up on the latest news in an app on your beloved Apple iPhone (from original to the newest). You may be on the bus. You may be at work, or maybe you’re at your child’s first day of Grade 1. Nonetheless, you are ready for your intake of the latest in news when suddenly, after pressing “More Articles”, or “Get More”, your iPhone has a spasm and closes the app altogether.
You’re not mad. Not even really upset. That is, until you reopen the app, and try the situation again. The same exact scenario; the app closes without warning and you’ve wasted a valuable 15 seconds of your life.
There are quick fixes that will sometimes get you out of this mess, however. The first that comes to mind is lashing out in a rage as you hurdle your iPhone against the closest wall.
Or, if you’re in for a more practical reaction today, you could simply restart your iPhone. This will usually solve your problem.
A third alternative, and perhaps the most time consuming, is to remove the app from your phone entirely and then reinstall it. Unfortunately, as I’ve found with some of my apps recently, it happens to be a minor bug that has entered the programming of the app and will need an update to fix.
If the you believe the latter dilemma has happened to you, hold tight. Moat developers of apps on the App Store are on top of bug fixes. Especially the more popular apps.
Well, as much as I wanted to rant about how poorly designed some apps are which are put into the mix of decent to exceptional apps in the App Store, my bus will be arriving soon. But more importantly, I’m worried I may select an option in my tumblr app that will immediately close the app.
Oops. My iPhone 4 looks it needs some alone time in the corner to think about what it did. That, or it didn’t appreciate me sending a mass text out to some friends. Maybe I should be a little less sociable.
After this happened I immediately wondered if anyone else had experienced this. I have also had a minor error regarding Voice Control. I accessed Voice Control and simply said “Call Ghostbusters.” The iPhone then closed Voice Control, and when I was returned to the home screen, the bar at the top of my phone (display the time, battery status, etc) was gone.
Don’t get me wrong, though - I still love my iPhone 4. It’s very fast and, despite my experience thus far, quite reliable.
This, is me. Daniel Dafoe. I am a 20-year-old Advertising student at Mohawk College in Hamilton, Ontario.
Why have I created this blog, you ask? Well it surely wasn’t because my professor for my digital photography class told me to. No, that can’t be it.
I suppose I will just use this as somewhere on the Interweb to post things that interest me. So stay tuned until I find something interesting to post! (That may take a while.)
